Job Listing: Safety Technician

An Aerotek client, a leading biotechnology company is seeking a midlevel Health and Safety professional to oversee safety programs in their Newington facility.


Job Duties:

*Safety technician will provide support in maintaining the facility's environmental, health and safety programs.

*Responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental programs, safety and health programs and emergency response programs.

*Responding to facility emergencies (medical/fire/spill).

*Performing inspections and facility audits in accordance to EPA/OSHA/DOT regulations.

*Providing Safety, Health and Environmental training as needed.

Job Requirements:

*Must have a BS in Safety/Industrial Hygiene.

*Must have 2+ years of experience.

*Must have a knowledge of EPA/OSHA requirements and the ability and desire to develop an in-depth knowledge in these areas.

*Ability to present safety programs and train others.

*Current/valid drivers license required.
