Job Listing: Sheet Metal Fabricator

There is an excellent opportunity to be a Sheet Metal Fabricator with a company located in the Emmaus, PA area. This person is responsible for sheet metal fabrication in accordance with the installation of heating and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

-Plans and draws layout and dimensions of ductwork.

-Ability to plan work for self and others.

-Attends classes and seminars on air conditioning components and system design to update skills.

-Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

-Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

-Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

-Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

-Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

-Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

-Initiates or suggests plans to motivate other workers to achieve work goals.

-Maintains time and production records.

-Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

-HVAC knowledge or experience is also preferred

Moderate travel is also necessary for this position. Also, candidates must be willing to work overtime and be on call for service at any time.
