Job Listing: Solaris Unix Administrator

TEKsystems is currently looking for a Solaris Unix Administrator for one of our local clients in the Kansas City metro area.

The candidate will provide Tier II Support to the production environment. The potential candidate will have advanced troubleshooting skills, firmware, knowledge of patching, and filesystem maintenance using Veritas. Troubleshooting abilities with experience resolving hardware and operating system issues as Tier II support is required. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate with co-workers on both the technical and non-technical levels.

Requirements of potential candidates includes:

Installation, configuration, and support of Unix Solaris.
Tier II support

This position is a 6 month contract position. Regular work hours are 8-5 Mon-Fri with occasional work on the weekend and off hour support rotation.

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $80,000 to $85,000 per Year
