Information Developer

This position is for an intermediate or senior level Technical Writer. This individual will be responsible for generating requirement documents, specifications (product and functional) and end user documentation for new Workflow Solutions.

This individual will interact with Software Requirements Engineers (SRE), Software Technical Engineers (STE), development team leads, test team leads, marketing individuals, and publication / help writers to development the requirement documents as well as the specifications for existing and new Workflow Solutions software (LDD, MVP, eSF applications). Additionally this individual will have regular interaction / communication with each of the respective stakeholder groups.

The job will also occasionally require the individual to serve in the capacity of Software Requirements Engineer (SRE) to assist in the actual generation and understanding of requirements for a particular product or set of products.

Qualities, Characteristics, and Experiences as follows:

Required Qualities:

Excellent written technical communication skills with 2-5 years of experience in requirements management and generation
Requirements management in a technical / development environment
Experience in writing, formatting, and structuring end user documentation
Ability to articulate and communicate well with developers, testers, and marketing personnel.
Propensity for aggressive, self-motivated research and networking
Capacity for rapid comprehension of industry-specific technical material
Ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects with a minimum of management oversight
Adaptable interpersonal skills suitable for a relaxed multicultural, dynamic office environment

Preferred Qualities:

Technical communication experience in a software development environment
Proficiency in a Windows desktop environment
Familiarity with network communications, topologies, and definitions
Familiarity with printing
Process improvement (CMMI, ISO) experience
Requirements management and analysis experience

Version control software (IE PVCS, RCS, Visual SourceSafe, etc.)
