Aerotek is currently looking for 2 Embedded C programmers that will be responsible for network applications that run on client printers and multi-function devices. These include but are not limited to embedded network applications such as printing protocols, status protocols, and management protocols. This is includes standard TCP/IP applications like FTP, SNMP, DHCP, IPv6 Stack, and security protocol support that we might get from open source packages to client proprietary network applications.

Complete Description:
Performs hardware, software, or telecomm engineering assignments.
Responsible for the design and development of software and/or hardware systems. Prepares product objectives and specifications from customer research. Systems can include computer systems, circuitry, components, instrumentation, peripherals, electronic equipment, operating systems/architecture, application software, user interfaces, etc. Develops prototypes of products. Documents work, tests, and solves problems. The Intermediate level is a composite of various levels in an organization between an entry (learning) stage and the senior (full competency) stage.
Typically entry point for MS/MBA. Makes a significant contribution to the work team. Typically works with only moderate guidance on projects with a short-term focus. Continues on the steep part of the learning curve within a functional area. Individual typically has more than two years and less than 5 years of related experience.

B.S. or B.A. in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.

The developer needs a firm understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
Strong C programming language skills.
Must have programming experience in Linux/Unix and experience in open source package utilization.

Must have experience in one or more of the following: TCP/IP stack/applications programming, embedded system programming, network protocols, network security programming, USB or network Linux device driver support, wireless network programming, multi-threaded programming, and Linux kernel support/programming.
