Job Listing: Land Development Engineer

Aerotek is currently looking for a Site Development Designer for a company in York, PA. Here is a list of Responsibilities and Qualifications.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions
- Ability to prepare and develop site layout and grading plans in AutoCAD. Take a project to completion.
- Follows established technical aspects of design consistent with department and industry standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with project design team, including Designers, Project Manager, etc. Maintain close liaison with Project Manager to resolve design issues and completion requirements.
- Work with other design professionals to interpret township, state and federal regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory agency submissions.
- Maintain neat and organized project files, CAD files and work area to allow efficient access to project information required by other team members.
- Participate in project closeout on behalf of the Project Manger.
- 85% billable time requirement.
- Works under general supervision of Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree from an accredited technical institute or college in civil/site design preferred.
- Two+ years experience in site design development and construction document phases. Experience based on actual ability.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in site design including materials and methods of construction.
- Understanding and working knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2005 Land Development Desktop. (See Specific CAD Qualifications)
- Participation in technical and professional societies preferred.
- Discretion, integrity and a positive attitude.
