Job Listing: Coordinator Customer Service Booking
Customer Services Coordinators working in export provide the main entry point for all shipping from their clients. They are responsible for the tracking of a shipment from the time it is booked until it is delivered and for dealing with customers’ questions and information needs during that part of the shipping process. Even though problems dealt with may be similar, people in this work role find every day different from the rest, and the non-stop activity can create a fairly high stress level; these aspects makes the work both interesting and challenging. Export coordinators’ major responsibilities are: Creating bookings and accurately assigning rates Identifying the route that will move containers from the beginning to the end location Checking with start depot to determine equipment availability Addressing customer problems Communicating with sales people to assure specific customers’ accounts are handled appropriately Coordinating with terminal operations to assure efficient and effective handling of shipments Communicating with world-wide offices to track shipments We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
