Job Listing: Coordinator Port/Terminal Operations

Operations Coordinators monitor status of cargo being received into the terminal and assure that it loads onto the ship successfully. Success in these roles requires developing mutually beneficial work relationships with customer services, maintenance and repair, vessel operations, dock, railroad, trucking, and equipment personnel. Working against time, streamlining operations, and, at times, working with people who may not understand the workings of a terminal can be challenging; and being able to meet difficult challenges, ‘pulling the rabbit out of the hat’ at times can be most rewarding. The purpose of this work is to prevent improper loading, terminal delays and missed vessels. This is accomplished through: Tracing shipments to assure that all containers load as they are booked Cross-checking information in the terminal and Hapag-Lloyd systems against actual documentation and cargo for hazardous cargo Assuring vessels are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner Assuring that conditions specified within contracts are met We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.  Please apply online at https://www2.recruitingcenter.net/Clients/hlcl/PublicJobs/Canviewjobs.cfm?
