Job Listing: TECHNICAL WRITER
Primarily serving C4ISR product lines from Volt's client company, the person selected will be working with surveillance and aerial imagery products.
The candidate will be documenting set up/tear down, operations, maintenance and training procedures. Ideally the candidate will have come from the military or will have significant civilian experience with aerial surveillance/intelligence products.
The team works on a 9/80 work schedule (which means they get every other Friday off). Candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a variety of technical manuals to include maintenance manuals, operations manuals, quick reference guides, and system administration guides. May also require some development of training material.
Duties include researching data, interpreting engineering information, writing product descriptions and theory of operations, creating maintenance procedures, editing materials incorporating changes, conducting customer reviews and validations, and making customer deliveries.

Required Skills

**Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.**
Must have ability to support the creation of technical manuals in Microsoft Office products, as well as digital SGML/XML manuals.
Experience with Arbortext Epic Editor a strong plus.
AIM development or Navy training development experience a plus.
Must be detail oriented, self starter, willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and in a learn environment are important.
Minimum 8 years experience writing on technical platforms and EE or BS in technical field required.
Occasional short term travel may be required.
