Job Listing: Operations Supervisor
§ The Supervisor clocks in at 4 AM or earlier if requested and starts up the hub, from turning on machines to starting the operation process. This supervisor will be a fill in driver and could go to the post office 2 to 3 times a week. The Supervisor would pick up the truck and drive to the local post office, is less than 15 minutes away, to pick up the mail. They push/load the carts onto the truck, which is automatic. They are normally back at the hub before 7AM. This person needs to be extremely reliable and dependable because they might need to pick up the work each morning.
§ Monitor the quality and productivity of these associates. Have a good relationship with the associates and be able inspire them to do their jobs and do them well. The Supervisor will also be in charge of employee performance feedback and will be giving feedback on errors and productivity.
§ Needs to be very proficient and computer literate as they will have many administrative functions: payroll and spreadsheets will be what they work with.
§ Needs to communicate well, verbally and written.
§ Needs to have a very flexible schedule as there is another supervisor that they will switch start times with.
§ Help set up the tabbers and sorter
§ Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
§ Minimum High School Diploma or GED
§ Intermediate skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel
§ Must pass a 7 year Felony & Misdemeanor Background check in every county and state they have lived in
§ Must provide a clean Motor Vehicle Report. The Supervisors will not be driving as a temporary associate, but they still need to meet the driving requirements.
§ Must pass a drug screening
§ Must meet DOT physical exam requirements
§ Be able to lift 50 lbs, and push and pull carts (estimated weight on a level surfaced is 530 pounds, which require a force of 50-60 lbs. It is assisted pushing and pulling because these carts have wheels)
§ Minimum age requirement is 21 yrs of age due to DOT regulations
