One of the nation's leading full-service shipbuilding companies has a Temp to Hire opportunity available for a Master Project Scheduler.
Responsibilities:

Setup project plans for several projects.
Provide scheduling support for project schedules and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development.
Work with Project Managers to build out plans using Project Management tools.
Maintain plans throughout the lifecycle of projects, consistent with Company protocol.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting, as well as periodic program performance assessments, utilizing Planning and Portfolio Management tools.
Assist with rescheduling, Change Management, and resource allocations in the project plan.
Maintain activity codes, along with program and portfolio planning items such as dependencies, milestones, and assignments.
Advise Project Managers on risk(s) in the Project Plan Cycle.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Master Project Scheduler position include the following:

10 years of experience with Bachelor degree; Seven (7) years of experience with Master degree; Four (4) years of experience in planning and scheduling IT projects
Must have solid PM knowledge and experience
Must be able to manage/self-direct multiple projects concurrently
Must be a good communicator with senior-level Management
Must show commitment to results, good judgment and initiative, teamwork, process improvement and strong interpersonal skills
Must have extensive knowledge and experience with MS Project and Earned Value
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management (preferred)

Skills and Qualifications:

Highly organized, possessing strong analytical abilities
3-5 Years of experience with Project Planning and Scheduling
Proficient in the use of Project Management scheduling tools, such as Microsoft Project
Comfortable with Project Metrics and Reporting
Familiar with Critical Path Analysis and Portfolio Dependencies from an Administrative perspective
Must have advanced knowledge and experience working with Earned Value Management System
Must have good writing and presentation skills
Bachelor Degree preferred
