Job Listing: Mechanical Engineer (Plastics) SJ
Position is for a Non-metallics Support person: Responsible for generating detail drawings of plastic parts, creating the electronic job wrapper sheet for the drawings, starting a work flow process in team center and uploading the files. Support maintenance projects (i.e. Smartline) and be required to make design changes to the advanced surface models. Opportunity to work on smaller new design projects to support current NPI cab programs. Travel to CAO to support other team members during cab builds.
Required Skills
Minimum of 2-3 years experience working with Pro-E. Prefer at least an Associates Degree in Mechanical Design. Have a basic understanding of Top down modeling and Team Center Database. Be familiar with Caterpillar detailing standards and releasing process as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Prefer a candidate with strong modeling skills who is familiar with surface modeling in plastics or possibly castings.
