Job Listing: Middleware/Software Sales MGR

Develops objectives and programs for the sales territory. Develops sales in the territory by initiating contacts with direct customers. Recruits and then directs the efforts of distributors and resellers toward the accomplishment of overall objectives. Maintains complete and accurate records of all prospecting and account activity in sales database (ACT). Maintains and constantly improves the organization's competitive position while meeting or exceeding quota. Insures maximum sales volume at minimum cost.

Directly supervises: Distributors and resellers

Job Objective
Expand relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts while achieving or exceeding Quota.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities
· Responsible for all sales operations within assigned territory.
· Creation of weekly sales forecasts and pipeline reports for the sales efforts.
· Formulates and recommends policies and objectives to insure the most effective operation of sales activities.
· Effectively executes sales tactics, policies and objectives.
· Effective closure of sales opportunities.
· Recommends pricing policies including quantities, terms and conditions of sales.
· Directs the continuing appraisal of pricing, distribution and other policies and procedures of the organization. Recommends changes that would improve the effectiveness of achieving sales objectives.
· Insures that all orders and the customer communications are promptly and accurately handled. Takes appropriate action to resolve customer services problems.
· Responsible for the development of sales estimates and sales forecasts and effectively executing them.
· Directs the reporting and appraises the results of each authorized sales program against planned objectives.
· Establishes and maintains top-level contact with the management of existing and potential customers.
· Provides customer feedback to Marketing Department as to industry trends and new product requests.

Required Skills

Required Work Experience
· A minimum of five years sales experience in a software environment
· Experience in creating and leading an organization selling solutions
· Experience in selling software tools or middleware to developers
· Proven track record of achievement

Recommended Education
· BA (or equivalent) preferred

· Familiarity with ACT CRM software
