Job Listing: Senior Designer - CAD, CATIA v5, EDM, PDM
2 Year Contract Position
This skilled Designer will need to analyze engineering design documentation and provide quality feedback. They will check for 2D drawing accuracy, 3D CAD model accuracy and EDM/PDM data structure accuracy. The candidate's expertise in GD&T will assist in the interpretation and application GD&T per ASME Y14.5. In addition, the Designer will support and test EDM/PDM and CAD applications and methodologies for Engineering.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Senior Designer position include the following:
Tools and Applications:
At least 1,000 hours of CATIA v5 experience in a variety of disciplines including sheet metal design, solid design, surfacing, assembly design and DMU.
A strong knowledge of EDM (Engineering Data Manager) or PDM (Product Data Manager) systems.
Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Basic Qualifications:
2 years of drawing and 3D model checking experience.
Strong knowledge of general Engineering practices, design principles, automotive industry fabrication practices, drawing and CAD modeling practices.
Extensive knowledge on theory and application of dimensioning and tolerancing principles per ASME Y14.5.
Education Requirements:
Associates degree in an Engineering-related curriculum.
Minimum of 5 years Design experience.
Bonus Skills:
Visual Basic experience.
Smaragd (a proprietary Daimler EDM) experience.
