Job Listing: SR. RESEARCH ENGINEER – EMISSION SENSORS

One of the leading manufacturers of construction equipment has an opportunity for an Sr. Research Engineer for the Aftertreatment Emission Sensors department. This company is a global leader in their industry, and has had significant growth in the past few years, and that growth is continuing!
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL, IL AND WOULD REQUIRE RELOCATION FOR THIS POSITION.
Job Purpose:
This position will be accountable for identification, analysis, and resolution of needs and problems in the areas of diesel and natural gas engine gaseous exhaust emission sensors, including but not limited to NOx and NH3 sensors research, performance and durability testing, and supplier development.

The position also requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills as well as cross functional team skills. Since this person will be working directly with lead engineers as a functional team lead, it is imperative to have "hands on practical experience" within a manufacturing environment.


Required Skills

Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent experience.
5+ years of practical hands on experience with catalyst composition research.
5+ years of practical experience with a Manufacturing Environment.
Experience with Self-starter, highly motivated, and have excellent organization skills..
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Experience leading technical teams.
