A loan/lease company that helps corporate customers buy or rent equipment and machinery manufactured by its parent company is seeking an Oracle/DB2 Database Administrator for a long-term contract position.
Job Description:
The Oracle/DB2 Database Administrator:

Will work to build the data architecture by moving data into a Data Warehouse.
Will be sourcing from the DB2 mainframes to an Oracle Database.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in developing Transformation Scripts, Data Cleansing Scripts, and processes for sources, including MS Access and Excel.

This company provides loans and leases to corporate customers to buy or rent equipment and machinery manufactured by its parent company. That equipment includes mining and logging equipment, off road trucks, excavating machinery, gas turbines and engines, forklifts, backhoes, and construction equipment. The company is active is some 30 countries in North and South America, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
This is a contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Atlanta, GA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Oracle/DB2 Database Administrator position include the following:

Bachelors Degree
Strong IT background
5-10 years of experience with Business Intelligence and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
Database Administrator Skills with Oracle 10
PL/SQL and/or SQL
Project Management experience
Data Modeling/Architecture experience

Desired:

Experience with Data Stage 8.0
Insurance/Finance background
