Job Listing: Program Manager Level 3 - Marketing/PR
This team needs a tech savvy marketing individual to fill a Program Manager position. This role involves promoting and managing open source projects on the operating system platform worldwide.
Day to day activities involve:
Communicating worldwide with projects on the phone and via e-mail (almost daily). At events there would be face to face communications expected.
Make sure that the technical issues and needs of the projects were brought to the attention of the relevant people and that these issues were sorted out with close follow-up.
Report status on a monthly and bi-weekly rhythm to multiple audiences.
Track a marketing plan that would involve PR and other opportunities for the projects managed.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Program Manager includes the following:
3 - 5 years of work related experience
Project Management experience
Able to keep to a project plan and meet deadlines
Experience with documentation that captures best processes
Familiar with Developer / IT pro audiences and aware of the technology (a deeper knowledge of technology and open source would be a definite asset)
Marketing oriented with a Software and/or Technology background
