Hydraulic System Research Engineer

*Responsible for assisting in executing advanced engineering projects related to hydraulic and electro-hydraulic system concept and development.

*The incumbent will support teams concepting and developing electro-hydraulic systems.

*The engineer will specifically concept electro-hydraulic systems and work with designers and suppliers to procure valves and other electro-hydraulic system components.

*The engineer will use tools such as test data analysis software (e.g. LabView or Matlab), dynamic system simulation tools (e.g. Dynasty, Matlab/Simulink), design tools (Pro/E) and hydraulic system schematic design tools (e.g. Visio) to concept and develop machine hydraulic systems.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements

*BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree

*2 years experience designing or developing hydraulic systems, hydraulic components, or electro-hydraulic systems and components.

**Desirable Qualifications:

*MS in Mechanical Engineering with hydraulic component design or e/h control system focus.

*3+ years experience designing hydraulic valves for mobile equipment or concepting/designing hydraulic systems for mobile equipment. Experience with simulation and analysis tools, such as Dynasty, EASY5, Matlab, and Simulink, applied to hydraulic systems/components.

****Ideal Candidate will be Control Systems Focused with a Masters Degree. Hydraulic Systems and Hydraulic System Schematic Design as well as Control systems focus are the keywords. The ideal candidate will be involved in analyzing test data gathered by others in the group.
