Job Listing: Business Systems Manager
Primarily, you will:
*Manage all aspects of the BSS/OSS/ERP life cycle within our client's IT department. (Work with NetSuite software-as-a-service vendor, work order management and call center vendors)
* Provide daily support for enterprise systems and ensure the completion of all production processes
* Maintain the performance and capacity of the application servers and assure the integrity of all application data
* Troubleshooting and issue management
* Continue to manage operations support team in deployment and production support of all business systems
* Provide around-the-clock daily support for enterprise-wide revenue systems and ensure the completion of all production processes
* Perform system troubleshooting and issue management
* Maintain the performance and capacity of the application servers and assure the integrity of all application data
* Focus on stopping revenue leakage and improving profitability of production billing systems
* Work with tech-ops, channel partner integration, internal business systems and engineering teams to deploy/rollout services in the various markets (for various Channel Partners)
* Manage "billing and settlements" operations in the deployment and production environment (for specific markets and customers)
* Monitor KPIs and be responsible for the SLAs relevant to BSS and billing management in operational environment
* Provide around-the-clock daily support for cross-market business (billing/financials) systems and ensure the continuous monitoring and control of all billing production processes
* Perform system troubleshooting and issue management along with the in-market trial team
* Maintain the performance and capacity of the relevant billing application servers and assure the integrity of all application data
* Provide support to the director for internal/external business systems and work with the appropriate development, engineering, and business development teams to deliver "business systems" operations
Your success will be measured using "product support" and "revenue assurance" metrics and the successful transition of the in-market trials into production "profit-making" environments. Hence the position requires good project management skills, detailed BSS/OSS process knowledge and very strong technical deployment skills. At least 25% travel will be required to various markets and engineering/partner sites.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
* Minimum BS/EE or Computer Science degree; MS (Computer Science) is a plus
* 5+ years work experience in operations deployment related to BSS/OSS systems in communications
* Experience in development and deployment of Billing and financial clearing systems
* Experience with issue tracking and risk mitigation of complex programs of systems integration
*Experience with QA, billing and care systems like Amdocs, Portal or NetSuite software is preferred
*Solid foundation in implementation of systems that incorporate business rules and data integration
*Experience with SEI CMM standards, technology- and process-engineering methodologies
* Ability to manage Telco-type business processes and perform technical design using use-case tools, sequence diagrams and data-flow diagrams
* Strong analytical, on-site management and project management skills
* Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Attention to detail with strong follow-up skills (with a sense of urgency and tenacity)
* Software development (SDLC) background is a must for managing ISVs and SaaS platforms.
