APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is an Anticipated Permanent/Indefinite Excepted Service position. If selected individual is in a Permanent status (Tenure 1 or 2) with 131st Fighter Wing, that individual will retain their permanent status. If selected individual is in an Indefinite status (Tenure 3) with the 131st Fighter Wing, that individual will retain their Indefinite status. Any other individual selected for this position will be Indefinite. Management has the right to convert this Indefinite position to permanent status without readvertising. Indefinite employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice. The tentatively selected individual will not be placed into this position until incumbent vacates the position. This is a bargaining unit position.
WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified permanent and indefinite TECHNICIANS and AGR personnel who are currently employed by the Missouri Air National Guard in the St. Louis area. AGR personnel in the Missouri Air National Guard in the St. Louis area may retain their AGR status at management's discretion if selected for this position.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires active membership in a compatible skill in the Missouri Air National Guard and wear of the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. 6. Performed organizational and intermediate maintenance on aircraft fuel systems, components, and equipment to include fuel cells, drop tanks, regulators, pumps, relief valves and fuel accessories.
7. Performed required maintenance activities associated with time compliance technical orders (TCTO) involving aircraft fuel systems, in-flight refueling systems and related components.
8. Connected power sources, and used cockpit controls, gauges and additional precision instruments, performed operational and functional checks of in-flight refueling, single point refueling and fuel transfer systems and related valves, pumps, switches, selectors, and control devices.
9. Performed leak check of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels and dye tracing fuel leaks.
10. Determined serviceability of fuel cell sealant and replaced it when required.
11. Examined faulty components and determined feasibility of repair, replacement and/or need for submitting unsatisfactory reports.
12. Repaired, reassembled, and installed fuel system components and performed operational tests using bench and other related test equipment.
13. Diagnosed and overhauled fuel accessories by disassembling, cleaning, and examining parts for corrosion, scratches, cracks or other damage.
14. Replaced gaskets and worn parts, reassembled accessories, adjusted and tested to insure proper operation in accordance with standards in technical data.
15. Controlled entry into fuel cell repair areas.
16. Prepared for and participated in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and IT inspections, mobility, and command support exercises.
17. Required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/ crash/rescue.

19. Required to perform such additional duties as munitions loading and handling.
