Major Duties
Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. As the project team leader, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project. Establishes project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, dependencies and responsibilities of the participating parties. Insures that assumptions and statement of risks, contingencies, and performance measurement criteria are included in the management plan. Coordinates planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration for major Civil Works and Support for Others projects. Manages and controls project schedule milestones and budgets planning through construction and initial operations. Allocates project funds to District elements, consistent with progress attained, measures and monitors performance to assure commitments are maintained.

General Schedule Applies an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods and practices as well as knowledge of methods, practices and processes of engineering and/or science disciplines. The position requires a broad technical background and experience in various functions; a full and in-depth understanding of the Corps of Engineers procedures and the Congressional authorization and appropriation processes; and a strong management background. The incumbent is required to integrate sponsor/customer requirements and participation into a comprehensive management plan that is fully coordinated with all contributing agencies and organizations including various functional elements within the District. The incumbent will establish responsibilities and set expectations; control and manage assigned project's budget and schedule to assure that District commitments to the sponsor/customer are met; and serve as the District's primary point of contact for sponsor/customers and other external agencies on assigned projects.

Salary Range: 39,407.00 - 130,211.00 USD per year
