Major Duties
The Next Generations Systems Branch (WXQQ), Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Systems Division (WXQ), is seeking prospective candidates for an Interdisciplinary Engineer, ND-0854/0855-04 to provide support as the Lead Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer for Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices Electronic Warfare (JCREW) 3.3 Systems.
As the Lead M&S Engineer for JCREW 3.3 Systems, responsibilities include a full range of duties in addition to leading/coordinating multiple projects with core government functions such as research, development, design, manufacturing, test, evaluation, upgrade, sustainment, acquisition engineering, and life-cycle support.
Leadership, Communicaitons and Customer Satisfaction:· Provide the technical lead for the modeling and analysis team, to grow the corporate capability and ensure its support for projects, studies and bids· Represent organization in technical conferences, seminars etc. with appropriate level of participation/presentation · Undertake or manage packages of work within existing projects as a member of the system design team· Support the PMS 408 Program Office through participation in Integrated Product Teams and contract solicitation· Lead and/or conduct internal research and development tasks· Support the organization in business development initiatives by providing technical advice, demonstrations and presentations· Participate in analysis and assessment of specific Test and Evaluation events and M&S performance requirements or options· Provide core competencies and specialist skills in the area of M&S· Contribute to the planning and conduct of Research and Development activities including: modeling and analysis, C4I, situational awareness, threat evaluation and weapon assignment· Support analysis and development activities such as; requirements analysis, algorithm design, model development, trials support, and performance analysis· Ensure compliance with DoD/Naval policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system
Technical Proficiency:· Extensive experience in M&S processes, methods and with a range of tools· Experience in development, support and execution of test and trials activities for complex electronic warfare systems· Technical leadership experience on small to medium sized Defense Contracts· Systems engineering skills· Experience in dealing with the Defense Science and Technology Organization (DSTO)· Software engineering skills desired· Software development experience with complex, real-time systems desired· design, development or analysis experience of electronic warfare systems and sensors desired
Travel - An average of 25%-50% travel is required. Trips will include travel to the Program Office near Washington, DC and contractor facilities in support of JCREW 3.3
Clearance - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
