Job Listing: Warranty Analyst /

This position is primarily responsible for identifying various aberrant warranty claims, using predetermined criteria, and obtaining respective repair order (RO) to evaluate propriety of repairs and claims. In addition, conduct random sampling of warranty claims and review ROs to determine dealer compliance with Warranty Policy and Procedure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze Out-of-Line claims, using WIS and identify potential abusers. Contact dealers to obtain ROs and evaluate appropriateness of the repairs. Summarize the result of investigation and communicate it to region (RWM and DPSM) as well as dealers. Identify a technician who is not qualified to perform certain type of repairs and correlate to subsequent repairs to see ensure FRFT. If necessary coordinate with DPSM and dealer for proper training. Process chargeback's if not substantiated. If necessary, call back parts for TWC to examine. At management request, investigate high visible warranty claims. Randomly select warranty claims to determine dealer compliance with Warranty Policy and Procedures. Follow up on problem dealers to determine their improvement. Prepare a monthly tracking report.

Required Skills

Must be proficient in all MS applications and AS400. Must be detail oriented, ability to multi task, strong written and verbal communication, analytical and organized. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a high school graduate. Bachelor's Degree preferred with concentration in Business or Finance. Minimum three years wholesale or retail automotive industry experience desired. Knowledge of current automobile dealership operations. High degree of automotive technical proficiency a plus. REQUIRED SKILLS: High degree of computer proficiency with advanced skills in the following software applications: Mainframe AS400, QMF or equivalent data query software (SQL, Access, etc.). Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Extensive analytical and mathematical skills. High degree of organizational and planning skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills.
