Job Listing: Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

A dynamic company is currently looking for Sr. Mechanical Design Engineers for multiple project responsibility from recognition of need through project completing. This opportunity allows for innovative and practical solutions to internal and external customer needs.

Primary Duties:
Leader of major new product development projects of considerable scope and complexity; including participation in development of Product Specification, Completion of project feasibility and Pre-Prod authorizations, Creation and maintenance of project schedules, production of conceptual designs, creation of detailed design drawings, analysis of design to applicable standards, analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (Finite Element Analysis)

Participate in identification of new product opportunities by:
monitoring market trends, recognize customer product needs, interact with appropriate marketing group to influence prioritization of projects, determine customer requirements, evaluate client and competitive products, and propose and develop proper technology to fulfill customer needs

Direct and perform standard product support activities such as:
Analyzing and writing Engineering Change Orders for products, troubleshooting product problems in manufacturing, lab, or customer sites, and initiate corrective action activities

Stay abreast of developments in technical field to maintain technical knowledge.

Learn, participate in development, and apply knowledge of:
Product line, Operational systems, Industry design standards, Quality Management System, Customer applications and requirements, Emerging trends in customers' markets


Required Skills

·BS degree in engineering from an accredited institution

·Excellent oral and written communication skills

·Excellent engineering/technical aptitude

·Minimum of 5 years experience in new product development with demonstrated ability to produce innovative and successful products

·Ability to recognize customer product needs and trends in the marketplace which affect product requirements

Desirable Qualifications:
·Professional engineering registration (EIT/PE).

·Experience with computer applications.

·Advanced or multiple degree.

·Experience with Simultaneous-Engineering product development process.

·Experience with industrial fluid handling equipment design and development.
