Job Listing: Manufacturing Engineer with Automotive background and N

Volt is currently working with a leading manufacturing company to identify top Manufacturing Engineers with a strong automotive background and New Product Introduction (NPI) experience. These successful candidate will be part of a team of 20-30 individuals providing knowledge and experience to further develop and expand this already successful company.


***THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE CHICAGO AREA. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED***



The company is currently looking for Manufacturing Engineers with fabrication and/or assembly experience.



These positions are key enablers of the operations planning deliverables of the revitalized New Product Introduction (NPI) process.



The role entails responsibility for managing the operations requirements, running future-state simulations and providing recommendations to the team, conducting virtual assembly and fabrication review audits.


Support for executing NPI launch, Gate review communication with the stake-holders and working with local process owners for template improvements for the global NPI process.









Required Skills

This will require working knowledge of ipi work-flow tools for effective communication.



A working knowledge of 'Design for X', Process FMEA and a functional knowledge of fabrication/assembly lines, NPI capital management and material logistics is a definite advantage.


Working knowledge of Vis-view, VPPA, Pro-e and other fabrication/assembly discrete event simulation tools is desired.
