Job Listing: Engineer Team Lead/Electrical/NPI/Machining

Volt is currently working with a leading manufacturing company to identify a Sr. Systems Integration Engineer to provide guidance to a core group of Engineers and lead quality initiative projects along with managing resolutions to high commercial impact field issues.


Responsibilities include:


- Maintain and expand on a product line


- Receive and compile subsystem requirements (HW & SW)


- Interface with coordinators, customer managers and teams on systems strategy


- Integrate New Product Introduction


- Sign off specs for company product reviews


- Coordinate new monitoring system feature requirements and obtain approval


- Guide and direct engineers to successfully implement strategy


- Gather and document business requirements for customer products


- Report technical and development status to management and other teams


- Lead the verification of subsystem integration, subsystem Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)


- Manage new customer driven requirements by assessing the technical feasibility, clearly communicating new risks to the program and if needed, help develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure delivery of a reliable subsystem


- Ensure that specifications, test results, and lessons learned are documented and archived


- Understand and incorporate lessons learned from previous projects


- Develop a good network and working relationship with the system and component teams, suppliers and the various internal customers to enable cooperation and resource commitment

Required Skills

Minimum:


- BS/MS in Electrical & Electronics or Computer Science


- 10+ years of experience with machine system, software or component development


- Experience leading systems product development through the NPI cycle


- Very strong written and oral communication skills


- Experience/ability to lead multi-functional teams including engineering, marketing, purchasing and product support toward a common goal


- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation involving extensive customer interface


- Ability to manage programs within schedule and budget


- Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical development teams, customers, and upper management


Highly Desired:


- Experience with both system/component integration and embedded software development


- Experience with machine health/monitoring systems


- Experience with on-machine data links, protocols, Cadet, and Electronic Technician


- 6 Sigma Black Belt training


- FMEA training/experience
