Job Listing: Data Center Technicians -Troubleshooting/installing OS,

Data Center Technicians have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment supporting a major software corporation within an enterprise class data center. The technician is the hands on support performing tasks such as hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, server imaging, configuration, rebuild and decommissions. Technicians perform routine and emergency requests through service request tickets as a member of a service team supporting 24x7x365 on-site coverage. This position includes customer interaction that requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional technical capabilities.

- 3+ years experience within data centers or a related IT fields

- AA degree or equivalent experience

- Experience with troubleshooting and installing operating systems, networking equipment and software

- Experience troubleshooting servers and server components such as motherboards, array controllers and network cards

- At least 1 year experience supporting, administrating and or troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server 2003

- At least 1 year experience performing network connectivity technology including TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP and DNS

- Basic understanding of RAID technology

- Basic understanding of ticket management software

- Flexibility to support shift coverage including overnight support shifts

- Able to lift devices weighing up to 50 lbs

- Server+, Network+, MCP towards 2003 MCSE and A+

- Good leadership experience is a MUST

- Provides troubleshooting support for servers, infrastructure and network devices

- Diagnose and repair server errors, infrastructure issues and network connectivity problems

- Install/replace server, device or network components or as needed

- Install/replace/remove servers, devices and networking equipment

- Performs basic server administrative tasks

- Performs network cable installation and removal to support infrastructure needs

- Performs server maintenance as assigned

- Performs inventory maintenance for information management support

- Performs rack maintenance as assigned
