This position is a Senior Engineer and represents a team leadership position with a small team responsible for development and execution of validation plans for new power systems. The person will coordinate with multiple organizations to identify lab and machine related validation activities required for proper validation of the system. The engineer will manage validation plans and provide expert technical leadership to ensure technical performance specifications and product quality goals are satisfied. The person will also be responsible for ensuring the Additional responsibilities include providing input to overall project plans, directing and prioritizing lab work, developing and maintaining lab procedures and ensuring new lab facilities are identified and implemented. The person needs to be able to understand critical customer requirements and manage the completion of tasks to satisfy these requirements.
Required characteristics: Previous drivetrain, engine, or machine development experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and capability to lead a small team and direct engineers overseeing lab testing. Excellent teamwork and project planning experience is needed. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or agricultural engineering. 7 years of engineering experience.
Desirable Characteristics: Previous electronic systems experience as well as exposure to control system development tools such as xPC, Matlab and CAN datalink and memory emulation. Hydraulic systems experience with either implement systems or hydrostatic drives would also be highly desirable.
