Job Listing: IT Service Manager

This position is responsible for managing the day to day operations of our consulting practices. This position will include day-to-day scheduling and management of customer deliverables and point of contact for customers on status of projects or emergency calls for system down reports. This position will be responsible for internal projects, pre-sales scheduling, proposal reviews and task management for consultants that are not on billable projects to ensure highest priority items are being accomplished. In addition to the above, this role will also partially support our Inside sales team to help move projects and orders forward. Key Metrics for this position will include timely reporting of weekly utilization figures and management of project backlog and internal task requests. • Candidate will be managing day-to-day activities for 10 engineers, which requires the ability to multi-task and manage multiple project deliverables and individuals. • Candidate must have excellent organization skills to maximize team efficiency on billable projects and outstanding tasks. • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact with customers and internal staff on project questions, updates, or emergency situations. • Intermediate Project Management skills are required to ensure projects are completed within the budget and time frames of the proposal and that communication to clients provides a high level of customer satisfaction. • This position requires leadership and teamwork to effectively work with consultants to create a working environment that helps meet the long term goals of both company and the employee. • This position does not require a high degree of technical expertise in either Systems Engineering or Software Development as the Director of each group will remain the technical lead for each team. However, this position does require the ability to understand business practices for the company and our customers to make informed decisions on resource allocation and customer satisfaction. • Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

• College Graduate or more • 5-7 years experience in a similar role/business • Supervisor/Management experience • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within an organization, and demonstrates excellent analysis, collaboration and communication skills • Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities • Basic understanding of the information technology function and systems implementation project environment • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills • Quick learner; flexible; process oriented; highly organized and proactive • PMP/CAPM candidates preferred, but not required. This is an intermediate Service Manager position and is a good entry point for candidates seeking to further their project management skills.
