About the Position: This position is located at the Dental Activity, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell is located on the Kentucky /Tennessee boarder between Hopkinsville and Clarksville, TN. Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st airborne Division (Air Assault), the only Air Assault Division in the world. The area provides inexpensive country living with the benefits of a major metropolitan area less than an hour away ? the home of Country Music and the Grand Ole Opry: Nashville, TN

Major Duties

Perform a variety of receptionist, clerical and record keeping duties related to the treatment of patients in a dental clinic responsible for a variety of dental health services. Patients include active duty, reserve and retired personnel and their family members. Outpatient treatment may include dental health services in some of the following sections; Endodontics, oral surgery, oral medicine, pedodontics, periodontics, removable prosthodontics, fixed prosthodontics, orthodontics, and general dentistry. Receive scheduled and walk-in patients. Screen patients to determine the purpose of their visit, verifies patients, eligibility for treatment (DEERS check, hospital card, etc.). Review dental health records for completeness and accuracy prior to and following treatment. Based upon dentists, instructions, determines need for X-rays, other laboratory tests or additional appointments. Perform computer and administrative checks to verify patient status and eligibility.
