The position requires:

This position requires experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting EMC Symetrix and SUN Storage Arrays, Brocade SAN switches, and Veritas (DBE and Netbackup). Additional experience with PowerPassword and PowerBroker, Java Virtual Machine, BEA Weblogic, and Matrix One is a plus. Experience with any http server package – Apache or Tomcat preferred. Extensive experience, more than 5 years, with any enterprise-level backup solution – Netbackup preferred. Advanced knowledge of at least one UNIX shell programming language or the PERL programming language. At least two years of experience supporting UNIX servers that host ERP applications. Experience configuring and maintaining SAN devices. Experience with compiling C programs a plus. Basic experience with relational databases. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Skills Required:

* Advanced UNIX Administration skills. Experience with SUN Servers (e.g. E450, V240, 6800), Sun Storage Arrays (3310, 3510, 6120), Sun Tape Libraries (L280, L180), Veritas (Volume Manager, Netbackup), Oracle and Ingres DB server maintenance, QuickSilver/Interleaf server maintenance, ClearCase server maintenance, CDE, NIS+, NFS, DNS, DiskSuite, ZFS, Samba, Apache, Perl Mods, HPNP, cron, SSH. Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: OS2, SCO, Autotime, oracle 9iAS, HSM, Statit, CAD tools Ideas, and Allegro/Cadence.

* A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide filesystem layouts.

* Knowledge of SOX requirements.


Educational Requirements:
A minimum of 5 to 8 years IT experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in IFSM, Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
