Job Listing: Associate Supervisor
This position is a new position due to growth with the company, The company had 95 people 9 month ago now there is over 200. no one internally that is ready for the position. The department is made up with another AS who report to the Manager. Each AS has 14 reports, including writing up performance reviews, but while on the floor there is upto 28 techs that can report upto you. When this person starts they will be starting off as a tech but making a supervisor salary. everyone starts from the beginning to really understand the process. the 14-28 people that would be reporting to you are Tech 1's, Tech 2's and Technologist. Other than supervisory skills, you would be dealing with breeding the mice, care, clean, and take care of the mice, shipping the mice. They are the largest breeder in North America. The supervisor needs to be strong but not militant. Will be involved in committee's, animal welfare, safety, supervisor meetings, monthly development meetings.
Required Skills
schedule is Mon-Thur 9 hours days and Friday's are 4 hour days for the techs, so the supervisor would work the MOn-Thur shift and between the 3 assoc. super adn manager they would rotate the 9 house day for Friday. every third friday would be 9 hours, but the other will be 4 hours. They would also work 6-8 weekends throughout the year.
Interviewing process: 1st round would be a panel interview, with the manager, production supervisors, sr plant mananger and Mandy. then the second interview would be a tour. this way the candidate can check out the environment, smell, and the employees. They are looking to have someone start by Aug 1st.
