Job Listing: Assoc Training & Dev Professional--MD/DE/RCH Region
Major Duties: (May perform any or all of the following duties)
• Deliver CommTech training needs and enhance CommTech manuals and leader’s guides.
• Deliver high speed internet service installation and troubleshooting training for consumer and business Internet products.
• Write and build training curriculum based on business needs.
• Create, deliver and distribute reference materials for techs in the field.
• Produce, deliver and enhance safety training.
• Conduct refresher and new product training.
• Conduct training needs analysis for the purpose of developing and coaching current techs.
• Work closely with Human Resources to ensure New Hire awareness and adherence to Comcast policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Deliver New Employee Orientation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
•Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Ability to speak publicly
• Strong customer service background
• Demonstrate leadership in maintaining and developing high customer service standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime & weekends
• Basic knowledge and aptitude in electronics
• Familiar with CATV test equipment, field strength meter, volt ohm meter, system sweep equipment, time domain reflectometer, etc., and able to use basic cable installation tools
• Knowledge of Electric Safety Code
• Working knowledge of PC hardware and operating systems
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to read and utilize system blue prints
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Ability to work independently
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in adult education or the recognized equivalent in work experience or a combination of work experience and education.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in learning and development and completion of CommTech Level 3 within 6 months.
Working Conditions:
• Lift and carry loads of 70 lbs. or more.
• Manipulate connectors, fasteners and wire, use hand tools.
• Work while standing 80-90% of the time.
• Work performed around construction sites.
• Work performed near power lines and electricity.
• Able to drive company vehicle and work and travel in inclement weather.
• Close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus required.
• Ability to enter and operate truck buckets.
• Travel and use of personal vehicle.
• Ability to use training tools
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels
• Utilize and manipulate objects such as pen, papers, keyboard
