Job Listing: Staff Accountant

General Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of all entries related to the month end close process, monthly reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts and multiple bank accounts. This position will support the Assistant Controller in the preparation of accurate and timely, consolidated GAAP financial statements. Individual should have strong analytical skills and a solid accounting background.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Month end close process and analysis
2. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
3. Month end reporting
4. Assist with forecast preparation
5. Process improvement


Requirements:

Required Education and/or Experience:
Degree in Accounting and 3+ years experience in the accounting field.
Public Accounting background a plus

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
Systems savvy, advanced Excel skills, PeopleSoft experience a plus
Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and GAAP standards
Solid organizational and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently
Problem solver who will take initiative to follow up and resolve issues
Experience with international accounting/consolidations/intercompany transactions a huge plus
