Job Listing: Local Sales Manager
Oversee all retail spot activity for basic cable networks from assigned sales team.
Work with senior management to create and implement sales and growth strategies.
Assist Marketing Department in creating sales packages, promotions and policies.
Direct recruitment and interviewing process for prospective Account Executives.
Take responsibility for directing initial as well as on-going training of new Account Executives.
Meet or exceed monthly sales budgets for assigned sales team.
Work daily with individual Account Executives in targeting, approaching, presenting to and selling prospects.
Analyze and approve contracts, review client files, credit references and prepayment.
Interface with the production vendors/production department to best utilize resources for existing clients.
Solve problems that arise with accounts handled by sales staff.
Schedule in-field training with Account Executives on a continuous basis.
Coordinate, develop and act as a facilitator for all levels of sales training.
Assist senior sales management with any additional projects as assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2 to 5 years sales management experience preferred.
Media advertising sales with a proven demonstrable track record in sales a plus.
Bachelors degree preferred in Business Administration/Marketing and/or Communications.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to initiate correspondence and memos.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills, proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work with appropriate timeliness.
Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
Valid drivers license.
