Job Listing: Sr Accountant
To assist the Corporate Accounting & Reporting Department in the completion of various accounting functions which include various balance sheet account reconciliations, month-end and quarterly close processes.
Major Duties:
1. Assist in the monitoring & review of the balance sheet and related account analyzes on a monthly
and quarterly basis.
2. Prepare monthly financial analysis reports for management review using various financial
application tools.
3. Prepare, examine and analyze financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of the Company’s
financial position.
4. Prepare work papers that reconcile and support balance sheet accounts.
5. Prepare and post various journal entries on a monthly basis.
6. Coordinate with both internal and outside auditors.
7. Reconcile and maintain all inter-company account balances.
8. Actively participate in the quarterly close process, including preparation of
analyzes/disclosures to support the company’s various SEC filings.
9. Chart of account maintenance of the ORACLE General Ledger system.
10. Special projects & analysis as needed.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience – public accounting, internal audit and / or
general ledger accounting preferred.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word, Hyperion/HFM and Oracle 11i Financials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
