Job Listing: Warehouse Supervisor
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for administering, directing, coordinating, receiving, storage and shipping (issuance) activities associated with the Houston warehouses. Also, ensures warehousing functions and duties are both efficient and service directed in accordance with quality and safety specs. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory at all warehouses sites.
Discrepancies between actual and computer system quantities are reconciled on a daily basis.
Principal Duties:
Accountable for physical security of up to $2.5 million in inventory assets and $10 million in customer equipment. Dollar value of inventory must be maintained within
Tolerance level of +/--1/4 of 1% of electronic inventory. Physical inventory item count must be maintained within 98%. VP of Finance and /or Director of Warehousing may adjust these limits.
Implement the warehouse organizational structure and select, develop and motivate key personnel to assure a high level of technical expertise and assure the best use of individual and group capabilities.
Oversee the selection, development and motivation of warehouse personnel to provide personnel necessary for the efficient operations of the warehouse.
Guide and implement safety and health programs to assure safe and healthy working conditions and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local lows and regulations.
Direct the preparation of work schedules and their coordination to assure optimum utilization of personnel and efficient warehouse operations.
Ensure more than $2, million per month in receipts and $.5 million in transfers per month are properly documented and reconciled to invoicing in order to coordinate with the Purchasing and Finance Department to ensure prompt and proper delivery of materials and minimize operations downtime.

Required Skills
Necessary or Required Skills:
2 years of college or equivalent experience.
5 years cable experience, 3 of which include supervisory experience.
Must be proficient in computer skills
Previous warehouse experience with cable experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
