Job Listing: Network Surveillance and Analysis Technician

• Responsible for the proactive detection, isolation, and diagnosis of HFC plant degradation and network faults utilizing network monitoring tools.

• Reviews and interprets data received from network tools, including but not limited to: Market Health, Trilithic return Path Monitoring, Spectrum, Amdocs, and customer reported information

• Interacts with cross-organizational entities, including call centers, LMC, Field Engineering, Network Engineering, and Technical Operations, to escalate network tickets and prevent/reduce customer affecting service issues.

• Assist local field engineering personnel in prioritizing daily work assignments and accurately directing field staff to most likely source of problem.

• Understanding of HFC networks in order to identify and pinpoint system issues related to Video, High Speed Data, and Voice services.
• Responsible for working network and customer reported tickets to successful resolution.

• Administer with minimal assistance, policies and procedures for the assignment of field service personnel to resolve issues.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Requires a basic understanding of HFC networks, headends, monitoring systems, billing, and ticketing systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. A minimum of three years of related experience in telecommunications, cable, or related industry is required. Computer fluency in basic Windows applications, with added consideration placed on any of the following: Word, Excel, Access, TTS, CMEX, and Amdocs. Must be able to work overtime as required.
