Job Listing: Account Representative

Primary Purpose - Entry level advertising sales position. In position the incumbent will learn how to sell commercial time on local avails, as well as other existing and new products as they are developed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Spends time with Sales Management, Team Leaders, and Account Executives learning all aspects of selling and servicing advertising clients.
• Solicits customers through telephone and in person presentations.
• Creates and proposes advertising recommendations that best suit customer needs.
• Prepares sales contracts, on behalf of the Company, for advertisers.
• Attends and completes all aspects of sales training programs.
• Completes all required paperwork, including reports, traffic, credit applications, etc.
• Maintains proper customer service to ensure maximum renewal rates.
• Develop sales techniques utilizing research tools such as Nielsen, Strata, Q’ View, Salesforce.com, CMR and other related sales software
• Responsible for negotiating orders and adhering to guidelines for pricing, rates, schedules and inventory management.
• Develop sales through all new and existing sales channels working with agency and client field personnel
• Maintains and develops relationships with agency and client field personnel
• Responsible for the achievement of established revenue goals and the development of strategies to achieve them through efficient daily management of the national sales process
• Develop presentation materials to effectively position DMA’s through the use of all relevant research materials, and marketing initiatives
• Perform the following sales coordinator duties which will develop the day to day skills need as an account executive I.e., order entry, corresponding with client or agency on ad copy and any schedule changes, rate cards, market presentation, weekly budget projections, and the facilitation of sales promotions.
• Organize and maintain files, coordinate office needs, time sheets, answer telephone, mail etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required. Must be available for extended hours, as needed.
