Job Listing: Storage Firmware Engineer

A Leading Provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors is looking for a Storage Firmware Engineer to join their Product Development team developing cutting-edge solutions to a global customer base. This worldwide, world-class leader is publicly traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market and is included in the S&P 500 Index.

The Storage Firmware Engineer is responsible for the development of new and exciting real-time firmware for state of the art System-on-Chip (SoC) devices with embedded MIPS processors.

This individual will participate in the full development process, from specification of features and architecture, to design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of embedded firmware.

This Storage Firmware Engineer will need to have the following background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 3 years engineering experience of software/firmware system development for real-time embedded systems
- Good working knowledge of the activities required in the full product development cycle
- Firmware Design and Implementation
- Strong Embedded design experience
- Proficiency in programming in C and Assembly for embedded devices
- Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, memory management, etc.

Skills and knowledge in the following is preferred:
- Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
- Experience in storage protocol development such as SCSI, Fiber-Channel, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management
- Experience implementing RAID protection algorithms

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $60,000 to $90,000 per Year
