Job Listing: Material Coordinator
Volt is currently searching for a successful candidate to work as a first shift Material Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and correcting all incoming material issues from receipt to delivery point (this pertains to receipts and warehouse activities). This position will also will be the back up to the Receiving Specialist Material Coordinator during peak receipt times and absenteeism.
Major Duties
1. Track and monitor warehouse activities to insure material is moving through the receiving and warehouse areas. Identify root cause on issues and make recommendation on permanent corrective action.
2. Coordinate and manage in coming RIP area.
3. Coordinate activities pertaining to Flash, ESO’s, Inetfactory Orders, Return to Vendor, and service parts.
4. Understands receiving process and is back up to this receiving coordinator in processing receipts during peak times and absenteeism.
5. Work with Inventory Analyst on warehouse inventory bin to bin audits.
6. Develop and maintain documentation for warehouse and receiving activities.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Understanding of receiving/warehouse operations or plant operations
• Fluent in the use of Microsoft products
• SAP knowledge a plus
• Strong analytical skills and root cause identification
*EDUCATION*
• Associate degree or higher in business management, logistics, materials management, or equivalent work experience.
*WORK EXPERIENCE*
• 1 year of experience in operations, purchasing, or warehousing.
