Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities
The job responsibilities for the Development Business Analyst include, but are not limited to:
-Acts as a liaison between various local technology teams, support teams, and business units to analyze, document, review, and secure agreement on business requirements for specific data sources.
-Acquires and analyzes technical data feed specifications, and authors Product Functional Specifications (PFS) documents which detail how a particular data feed will be processed by data sources.
-Participating in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements based on business unit requests.
-Development and execution of functional test plans, specifically focused on data quality and data functionality.
-Prepare status updates for projects and consolidation of periodical reports
-Establishing and maintaining relationships with market data sources ensuring that product related changes are communicated and understood within the organization. Specific focus is placed around supplier notification of required changes to ensure the product is fit to purpose

Professional Experience / Qualification
-The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience within a financial market data related environment
-The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience working with environments that communicate system to system, with limited end-user displays available.
-Bachelors Degree in any discipline, although Computer Science, Mathematics, or MIS is preferred
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous Technical Writing experience is preferred.
-Fair knowledge and understanding of technology concepts, including the ability to acclimate quickly to unfamiliar environments. Emphasis on infrastructure applications and networking a plus. Experience with command language operating systems (i.e. DOS or UNIX) is preferred.
