One of our clients a progressive leader in the automotive parts industry, is seeking an experienced Program / Project Manager with a metal forming background. The successful candidate will become a member of a high performance team, focused on transforming one of our business units into a world class supplier of rollformed, stamped and welded components and assemblies. You will provide leadership and direction to successfully implement an important new program, develop strategies to meet all financial, quality and customer satisfaction targets.
Job Description:
-Create and execute program/project work plans and schedules; revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
-Track program status against original schedule.
-Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated situations
-Identify resources required and assign individual responsibilities
-Manage finances against original budgeted objectives; report status to executive staff on a regular basis
-Lead Program Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the cross functional team members
-Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to develop and communicate program deliverables, priorities ,and timeline targets based on customer derived expectations
-Interface directly with customers, through sales and other cross-functional team members, to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback
-Identify and resolve conflict among cross-functional departmental plans
-Recommend/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering or Business Administration preferred
-Minimum of 10 years experience, 5 years program / project management experience within an automotive manufacturing environment
-Strong planning, coordinating and communication skills
-Thorough understanding of APQP required
-Effective facilitation, team building and problem solving skills
-Strong quality system and lean manufacturing knowledge a plus
-Manufacturing experience in roll forming, high frequency welding a plus
-Able to travel within US & Mexico
-Proven track record of successfully managing $10 mil+ /yr metal forming programs.
