Job Listing: Construction Estimator

Aerotek E&E is currently looking for a Senior Estimator to work for on Heavy Civil or Transportation projects for a Construction Management/General Contracting firm in New York City.

The QUALIFIED candidate must have:
- At least 15+yrs experience

- Great computer skills, and MUST have experience with HCSS estimating software (www.hcss.com)

- Experience estimating projects as large as $50mil, preferably up to $200mil and larger

- Ability to handle a major project for them, which includes either the $200mil subway stop at 92nd and 2nd or the $150mil in work they have at WTC

- heavy construction/Transportation experience

Responsibilities:

-they will support the bidding effort by performing quantity take-offs and assist with subcontract tabulations, value engineering, project procurement, and bid analysis.

They perform complete preconstruction, value engineering, and procurement services. They will work with various bid teams to develop strategies that blend all affected trades to ensure no gaps or overlap in project scope.

-they MUST have a knowledge of construction standards, estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control systems
