Job Listing: Buyer Analyst

1) Purchase items required for manufacturing/aftermarket as assigned:
- Ensure on-time delivery of purchased items;
- Creates, maintains and expedites purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
- Ensure items purchased match requirements of purchase order and engineering specifications.
- Ensure transportation on inbound materials utilize preferred carriers as prescribed.

2) Provide vendor sourcing:
- Locate and qualify vendors;
- Analyze bids;
- Request quotations from qualified vendors;
- Researches, interviews, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain best value and total cost.

3) Responsible for accurate/detailed daily, monthly, quarterly and annual metric calculations and reporting.
- Provides administrative and analytical support
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks and complex data calculations.
- Data mining for Requests For Proposals
- Utilizes web enabled programs for reverse auctions, competitive bidding, and alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Price Change Notices (PCN) preparation

4) Resolve quality issues with vendors.

5) Assumes/assists Senior Procurement Specialist duties during heavy volume periods and in the absence of Senior Procurement Specialist.

6) Perform other duties as required.
