Progressive pipeline construction company seeks Project Manager to join their Midwest-based team. Responsibilities for the Project Manager position include:
- Development of project proposals and cost estimates for liquids pipelines projects. Conduct evaluations, justification, and feasibility of proposed projects.
- Provide project management expertise to capital projects responsible for scope / cost / schedule management within engineering procedures.
- Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Routinely communicates with and accountable to Project Sponsors providing senior level governance over projects.
- Responsible for timely and accurate project reports for management and stakeholders.
Provide direction for detailed designs, compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. May review work of designers to ensure completeness and accuracy of drawings. Ensure Operations needs are met in project design. On occasion will be required to complete/practice detailed design in at least one of the primary engineering disciplines.
- Provides direction to specify material and equipment for projects.
Collaborate with the procurement contracts group to develop contract documents and specifications.
- Collaborate with the construction management group to provide oversight for construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents. May coordinate construction with Region activities during tie-ins.
Requirements for the Project Manager (Pipeline) include:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or 4 year Applied Engineering degree from an accredited University.
- Demonstrated technical competence in at least one of the engineering disciplines with the ability to oversee and/or practice in other disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong problem solving, leadership and decision making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Eligibility for registration as P.E. desirable.
