Job Listing: CNC Machinist

Aerotek is looking to hire a CNC Machinists who can set up, program, and operate CNC Machining equipment to make mechanical parts, mechanisms, tools, and fixtures.


CNC Machinist job description:

-Set up, programming, operation of CNC Machines (MUST have all 3)

-Must have experience working on Manual Machines (both mills and lathes)

-Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, machining speeds, feeds, setup, and layout processes

-Must be able to work and hold very close tolerances

-Study and understand specifications such as blueprints, sketches, description of part to be produced and plan sequence of operations

-Must be competent in the use of precision measuring devices and related ship equipment


Qualifications and background required:

-3-5 yrs experience with mills and lathes

-CNC horizontal or vertical milling centers or CNC lathes

-Read blueprints

-Set-up and Conversational Programming

-Experience with conventional machine shop equipment, lathes, mills, grinders, etc.


IDEAL CANDIDATE has experience working in a job shop or with prototypes and has experience with Hurco or Mazak machines.

Pay rate is $16-$19 per hour
M-F, 2nd shift, with some Overtime
