Job Listing: Histotechnologist

One of Aerotek Medical's largest hospital groups in the downtown Chicago area is looking to add an experience Histotechnologist to their progressive research team.

Candidates should expect a progressive working atmosphere with management that is investing in their staff. You will become apart of one of the leading Cancer Research Institutes in the United States.

Duties will include
- Performing routine and specialty testing in Cancer Research facility
- Performing microtomy, frozen section cutting techniques, and special staining and embedding procedures
- Recording necessary documentation
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment as well as trouble-shooting on instrumentation
- Adhering to quality control criteria for handling of hazardous substances


QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

- HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certified
- Ability to demonstrate and perform frozen section cutting techniques as well as microtomy and specialty staining.
