Job Listing: Marine Service Technician

Regional company in the Fort Lauderdale area, now has immediate openings for Marine Diesel Engine Service Technicians.

Major job duties include:
- Disassembles, assembles, removes and installs components on Diesel engines as directed by the Marine Technical Support Analyst
- Performs testing and adjustments on specific engine components as needed
- Appropriately prepares vessel and workplace to prevent cosmetic or other damage to vessel and surrounding environment during work process
- Remains in contact with Marine Technical Support Analyst and Service Manager during work process to apprise them of job progress
- Directs all customer technical, and other inquiries related to work being performed, to Marine Technical Support Analyst
- Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records
- Processes repair parts cores in accordance with service department procedures
- Assists Quality Control Technician with repair validation process as needed

Must Haves:
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals
- Ability to write service reports, and accurately prepare necessary forms
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, subordinates in their charge, superiors, the Marine Technical Analyst, and other service technicians.
- Ability to work with simple mathematical concepts
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to work being performed
- Must be a Marine Specialist, 2 skill level or above
- Must be proficient with the disassembly, assembly, testing and adjusting of the Diesel engine models that the employee is working with

Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check
- Must have prior marine experience
