Our client, an established medical device company in the Bay Area, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to help bring plastic medical device products from R&D into production.

On a day to day basis the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for running a project from start to completion on plastic medical devices including but not limited to: modifying and finalizing design, design of plastic molding and tooling, working with vendors to fabricate molding and tooling, and to aid in the transfer of this product into high-volume production on a moderately aggressive product-release timeline.


To be qualified for the Mechanical Engineer opportunity, the Mechanical Engineer must have:

--Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent experience.

--8+ years of experience and 3+ years working with plastic parts projects of similar nature.

--Experience in plastic mold design, vendor establishment, tooling, manufacturing transfer, Project Management, Solidworks or Pro-E design, Design for Manufacturing in the FDA-regulated Medical Device industry.
